Sport Premium

At Nanstallon we aim to:

  • Increase confidence, knowledge and skills of all staff in teaching PE and sport

  • Broaden experience of a range of sports and activities offered to all pupils

  • Engage all pupils in regular physical activity, sport and promote a healthy life style

  • Increase participation in competitive sport

The funding – provided jointly by the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport – is allocated to primary school headteachers. The funding is ring-fenced and therefore can only be spent on provision of PE, sport and healthy lifestyles in schools.

The DfE have confirmed that schools will continue to benefit from the PE and Sport Premium in 2022/23. This premium is backed by £320 million of funding.

Designed to help children to get an active start in life, the funding will give more children access to high quality PE lessons and sporting opportunities.
